Designs By Daniella, Inc. was started by Nilma Newton (nickname Daniella) over 23 years ago when she emigrated from Brazil to the United States. While in Brazil she began learning the art of design and sewing, then continued to perfect her skills once here. Early on she decided she would specialize in women’s apparel that would be by exotic dancers but also for club wear and dance studios. One of her early lessons was that clothing made for these women needed to be durable and lasting, something sadly missing in today’s foreign made mass produced apparel. Daniella’s approach has been to make her clothing in limited production with high quality. Also she wanted to give her customers the ability to custom design clothing that would give them a unique look.
She has a retail outlet in Quincy, Massachusetts where she also manufactures her lines of clothing. A variety of long gowns, 2 piece gowns, short dresses, robes, 3-pieces (top, short skirt or booty shorts with matching panty) or lined or unlined bikinis are available.
At the store a customer can browse the locally produced pre-made clothing that she has on display as well as a line of clothing made by Elegant Moments, (featuring a complete line of lingerie, costumes, club wear, packaged lingerie, packaged hosiery, and leather merchandise), sexy shoes by Pleaser USA, Inc, (Pleaser, which has a vast collection of footwear featuring sexy, glam, retro, rockabilly, fetish, gothic, punk, and renaissance, is a manufacturer of sexy and alternative footwear) and an array of costume jewelry.
For the customer who wants something a cut above, Daniella offers a room full of lycra/spandex materials for her to choose just the right look coupled with collaboration for the perfect design. The resulting outfit is truly custom long gown, 2 piece gown, short dress, 3 piece or lined or unlined bikinis for their work or leisure.
